AdmissionsThe Last Resort Panama has a simple, brief admission process to determine the length and type of treatment appropriate for the individual's needs. We consider each person's current situation and their history, including: types of illnesses, overall condition, life skills, and personal goals, to ensure an optimal recovery experience. Every individual seeking treatment for Mental Health Issues and drug and alcohol abuse at The Last Resort Panama goes through our admission assessment. If you are dealing with addiction treatment and other disorders such as depression and or anxiety we will have you sign a release of information for us to receive records from your treating physician. Your intake worker will gather a history of your alcohol abuse and drug abuse and the length of time and quantity of your usage as well as medical clearance from your primary care physician. If you are accepted for admission, as part of the Real Life Rehab program at The Last Resort Panama you will be seen by our medical staff for a full and comprehensive history of your alcohol abuse and drug abuse and the length of time and quantity of your usage, as well as a physical examination. All participants will receive a comprehensive dental exam as well. Medical treatment in Panama is on par with The United States.
